How to make a vision board video that stars you

There are three ways. The quickest is a slideshow: put your board's photos in Canva or a vision board app with music. The most personal is filming your own clips, which is hard when the goal has not happened yet. The third is VisionReel: pick up to 3 goal scenes, like keys to your first flat or breakfast in Positano, add one selfie, and the app makes a 6-second AI film of you in each one, in about a minute per scene. The films collect into one reel for your year. It is paid per film, with one-time credit packs from $9.99.

Why VisionReel: a vision board video where the person in every scene is you, not a stock photo.

The real app: pick goals, add a selfie, watch your films.

Option 1: a slideshow of your board

Collect photos for each goal, drop them into a video editor such as Canva, add music and export. Some vision board apps do this for you: Vision Board ++ has "Magic Movies" and Perfectly Happy turns a board into a slideshow with music and spoken words (from their App Store listings, as of October 2026). It is cheap and quick. The catch: the people in the photos are strangers.

Option 2: film your own clips

Film small moments that point at the goal: walking past the kind of flat you want, a coffee at the café you would open. It is real and it costs nothing, but it is hard to film a goal that has not happened yet.

Option 3: a film of you inside the goal, with VisionReel

  1. Pick up to 3 goal scenes from the catalogue of 31: home, career, money, travel, love and friends, wellness, creativity and milestones.
  2. Pick a word for your year (Brave, Calm, Bold and others). It titles your board. You can add a short note to future you.
  3. Add one selfie with the camera or from your photos, and agree before it is used.
  4. Choose a credit pack. 1 credit makes 1 film.
  5. Watch. Each scene takes about a minute. You get a 6-second film of you in it, and every film joins your reel for the year.

In 307 one and two star App Store reviews of 12 vision board apps that we read in October 2026, 27 said the board was "just a collage" and 24 were about not being able to actually watch it: the play button flashes, the video will not replay, the widget stays empty. VisionReel was built for that gap. If you want a still board you can print, a collage tool is the better choice; two reviewers said exactly that.

How long should a vision board video be?

Short enough to watch every morning. Each VisionReel film is 6 seconds, so a board of 3 goals is under 20 seconds. Slideshows usually run 1 to 3 minutes.

About your selfie: it stays on your phone. When you film a scene, a copy goes to our AI partner (fal.ai, which runs the MiniMax video model) only to make that film, and it expires there after about 2 hours. It is never used to train AI, for face recognition or for ads. Delete it, or all your data, anytime in Profile. Details in the privacy policy.

Films are AI visualisations made for inspiration. They are not predictions, and they may not look exactly like you. VisionReel is for adults 18+.

Questions

How do I make a vision board video?

Make a slideshow of your board's photos with music, film your own clips, or use VisionReel to get a short AI film of you inside each goal from one selfie.

Can I make a vision board video of myself?

Yes. In VisionReel you add one selfie and each goal scene you pick becomes a 6-second film of you. It is an AI visualisation, so it may not match you exactly.

How long should a vision board video be?

Short enough to watch daily. VisionReel films are 6 seconds each, so 3 goals take under 20 seconds.

What app turns a vision board into a video?

Vision Board ++ and Perfectly Happy make slideshows from board images (as of October 2026). VisionReel makes films of you inside each goal.

How much does VisionReel cost?

VisionReel is paid per film with one-time credit packs: 3 films for $9.99, 7 films for $11.99 or 30 films for $29.99 (US prices, they vary by country). 1 credit makes 1 film. No subscription, credits never expire, and a failed film gives its credit back.
